International Marketing Council of South Africa appoints MS&L to Manage the Reputation of ‘Brand SA’

MS&L London announced today that it had been appointed global strategic communications advisor to the International Marketing Council of South Africa. The appointment follows a lengthy evaluation process and six way competitive pitch.

Stuart Wilson, CEO, MS&L London, said: “We’re very proud to be asked to take on this work. The appointment of a strategic communications partner comes at a time of great significance for South Africa. The recent election of a new government and the build up to the 2010 World Cup, have created a unique platform to profile the country, its economic policies and global competitiveness.”

Paul Bannister, acting CEO of the International Marketing Council, said: “In the context of substantial economic uncertainty it’s vital that Brand SA builds its reputation and promotes its global competitiveness in key markets. Working with MS&L will allow the IMC to do this.”

MS&L will work with the Brand SA team in 10 key markets globally and provide additional market support in countries requiring economic, trade and investment profiling. The 10 key markets include: UK, China, India, Brazil, UAE, Egypt, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, the EU and the US.
