AVG Technologies, the internet security company, appointed MSL London to raise brand and product awareness amongst consumers and technology professionals in the UK and to position the company as an expert commentator on internet security issues.
MSL London implemented a strategic media relations outreach programme around AVG’s The “Digital Diaries” campaign, a year-long global study that looks at how children are interacting with technology from birth. With widespread national broadcast print and online coverage resulting, AVG’s spokesperson came to be seen as a thought leader on how children engage with technology, and the wider impact this has on our world.
Coverage in The Daily Mail, Telegraph Online, The Sun, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC regional radio and The Herald raised awareness of the AVG brand, provided a platform for its spokespeople and took a previously IT-focussed client into the mainstream media. Additional coverage also appeared in technology trade publications including, PC Adviser, Computerworld and TechEye.Net.
